“TIME AND TIDE WAIT FOR NO MAN.”
(Georey Chaucer)

We know about the rhythm of tides here in Withernsea but there is an acute need for us to keep up with the arrow of time in relation to funding restoration work on the clock. A very good quotation has been secured from Smiths of Derby, but there is a time limit on its validity.

Offers of grant aid usually come with time limits and a need to match with other sources. Lose one offer through failure to complete and a matching offer may be withdrawn. Hoops, loops and red tape inevitably abound. Contributions of any size would help two ways – increase the available capital and demonstrate the level of local support.

It is an honour to be asked to introduce this website which I hope will be read with interest - Peter Cook
